Hmm, I'm in a mood to write, so I've made my second one tonight...yay...

Pairing: Chuck/Casey
Fandom: Chuck
Rating: 14 ish...swearing, some mention of sexual stuff...sort of
Word Count: 306 (almost 100 longer than the last one!)
Spoilers: None

Casey- Casey’s not a nice guy. Chuck knows this. He knows Casey gave up the dream of a white picket fence, wife, 2.5 kids and a dog, but the thing is, he can’t see Casey in that dream. ‘Cause Casey is adrenaline and guns and muscles and will kick your ass if you cross him or if he just feels like it. He’s pretty much everything Chuck isn’t.

That isn’t to say that Chuck can see himself living the ‘white picket fence’ dream either. He’s not really sure where he fits in.

Casey was all for living in the moment and protecting the country (and Chuck) and not giving a damn what people thought of him. Chuck admired it- most of the time; found it incredibly hot the rest.

It’s not like he can see himself settling down with Casey; he wants to be able to, but with the life they lead, he won’t let himself think about it (too much) and he’s pretty sure Casey does the same.

But there are times when they’re in Casey’s bed, the big man above him, in him, all around him, and a look crosses his face- like he can see himself waking up next to Chuck every morning and working 9 to 5 at BuyMore and that’s generally all it takes to send Chuck over the edge.

So Casey’s not exactly a nice guy- he kills people, a lot. Maims others. Most of the time it’s to protect Chuck, though.

And maybe Chuck can’t see either of them living the ‘white picket fence’ dream; sometimes it doesn’t matter. Sometimes what they have- muscles, guns, adrenaline, fighting for their lives, Casey kissing him, reminding each other they’re alive, not quite whispering I love you- is enough. Who needs white picket fences anyways? They just got dirty and aged badly.
